CHAPTER PROGRAMS
The Arts and Letters Commission is responsible for exposing and educating the chapter and the community about the creative and performing arts.
The goal of the Dr. Jeanne L. Noble GEMS (Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully) Institute is to develop strong, confident and respectful young ladies and prepare them to take an active role in their success and society.
The Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy is a youth development programs that serves young ladies between the ages of 11-14.
One definition of Economic Development is “A policy intervention which aims to improve the economic and social well-being of people.” The South Jersey Alumnae Chapter implements a multi phased economic development strategy.
The Educational Development Committee is one of the busiest of our chapter and is the foundation of our Five Point Program Thrust. Each year we conduct projects designed to promote excellence in education in our schools and communities.
Our EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (ERT) provides Chapter members and the community with sound preparedness and planning practices that aid us in remaining safe by alleviating the impact of an emergency or disaster.
Through its International Awareness and Involvement (IAI) Thrust, Delta Sigma Theta harnesses its vast potential to impact strategically the plight of people living across the diaspora.
The Physical and Mental Health (PMH) Committee is dedicated to uplifting and empowering African American women in the community through a comprehensive approach to internal wellness.
The South Jersey Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., provides scholarships to African American female high school Seniors in our service area who are seeking higher education from an accredited four-year college or university.
Social Action Mission: to promote leadership, advocacy, and empowerment among members to bring about effective solutions to social change.
